New Year

Oh hey there people that read my blog! Well this is new...I have decided, out of the blue, well kind of to start a brand new blog! This blog is going to be solely dedicated to my second year as a YAV in San Antonio, TX.


This past weekend all of the YAVs from last year, 2011-2012, gathered in Ghost Ranch, which in case you don't know where that is, it's in New Mexico in the middle of nowhere! (But more on that later...) While at Ghost Ranch we learned about the transition period after our service in various places last year. Since I am doing another year and staying in the same place I talked about how I want to separate the 2 years, and to not compare each year, and to start new... SO first thing is first, set up new blog...check! Yay I accomplished one thing! :)

Another thing that I am really going to carve out time to do, even put it in my calendar so I will actually do it, is to blog AT LEAST once a week. We talked a lot about self care this past weekend at Ghost Ranch and I determined that I like to talk to people and to hash things out with people, what better way to do that then to write a blog post once a week!

Now to sum things up for the people who just skim my blog, don't worry I probably do it to yours too! haha

• Started new blog!
• Work on not comparing my 2 years and wanting them to be the same because they aren't
• Write a blog post at least once a week! Doesn't mean there can't be more. lol

Well seeing that here in San Antonio it is now 10:30pm it is way past my bed time, I know I am so old! haha But going to bed early and then having to wake up at 7am is way better than going to bed late and then waking up when the sun isn't even up yet! haha
